Puppy Training Course

“Socialising your puppy in a controlled way” – essential for bringing up a secure and confident dog”

This is a structured 8 week long course covering socialisation and basic training for puppies. It is based on the Kennel Club Good Citizens Classes.

It is suitable for puppies who are aged 8 - 20 weeks approximately at the start of the course, depending on their size and personality.

Courses run regularly throughout the year. Check for the next available Course Date as we recommend that you pre-book your place.

It is important to train your puppy from an early age. With positive reward and encouragement your puppy will grow to love training and will bond closely with you. Once we’ve shown you some basic techniques at class you’ll find both you and your puppy will make real progress if you practice these away from class together…take just five to ten minutes at a time, at home or outside, when you’ve the time and patience and are feeling positive. Each week we'll give you a short 'homework' sheet for you and your pup.

We cover:

To join, your puppy must have had its first vaccination and you’ll need to bring proof of this with you to your first class.

To get the best out of your class please look at our recommendations on what to do Before Training. Please remember to bring your dog Taining Kit with you! If you have any questions or concerns speak to your trainer. We’re here to encourage and help you.
