Liver Cake Recipe

Ingredients :

  • 400g of fresh chicken liver* (available at Sainsbury's)
  • 100g plain flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • Optional : ¼ teaspoon of garlic granules or garlic salt

Appliances :

  • Liquidizer or smoothie maker
  • Microwave
  • 3 plastic takeaway trays

Procedure :

  • Liquidise the liver
  • Add 50g (half) the flour, 2 eggs and optional garlic granules - liquidise
  • Add remaining flour and egg and liquidise
  • Divide the mixture between the three takeaway trays
  • Place all three trays (without lids) into the microwave (one ontop of the other two)
  • Cook for 12mins at 800W / 10mins at 900W
  • Leave the cooked liver cake to cool, before cutting into useable training treats
  • You can also freeze some of the cooked liver cake for later use

* If your puppy / dog is allergic to chicken, or as an alternative, substitute a 155g tin of Pilchards in Tomato Sauce for the 400g of chicken liver
